My grandmother first brought me to the easel when I was a young child. Her presence ignited a lifelong passion for art. After various youthful diversions, I returned to that passion in full as an adult.
I studied at The Academy of Art College in San Francisco, an institution known for their classical approach to teaching Fine Art. For me, learning in this rigorous environment meant freedom: I knew if I could paint a portrait, I could paint anything.
Now I mostly spend my creative energy trying to raise happy children. Inspired by my mini muses, I created a family of characters I call “Bezoos” that I have incorporated into paintings, stuffed animals, t-shirts, and more. I continue to paint portraits on commission and create more expressive works as well.
